Since the 1760's Cricket Bats have been made using hand tools. A machine will never have, the eye, the feel of a podshaver, so we hand shape only.

Another reason why we do this is a machine can't exceed a customer expectations. A podshaver with hand tools and pride in his work can and that is what we aim to do.

Tradition is important to us, we like to shape the clefts with hand tools, it allows us to feel the wood, asses the willow and shape the Cricket bat to meet your requirements.
